We alter wedding dresses and even­ing­wear for weddings, galas and stage per­form­ances. At our Berlin atelier, we assess fit and ease of movement, with care for delicate fabrics such as silk and lace.

We restyle existing clothing, from adapting a wedding dress into even­ing­wear to updating an inherited dress. At our Berlin atelier, we assess the fabric, condition and pos­sib­il­it­ies for redesign.

We look beyond the seam to the whole: the drape of the fabric, your posture, the occasion. Every project begins with a con­ver­sa­tion and a personal fitting.

ÄTELIER is the tailoring service of FRILISA GmbH. Con­sulta­tion, fittings and crafts­man­ship come together at our atelier on Uh­land­straße, in Berlin-Wilmersdorf.

We discuss your wishes, the occasion and what your garment needs.

We pin and assess the fit, then agree the work and cost with you.

We carry out the agreed work with care for the fabric and every detail.

Together, we check the fit, length and freedom of movement.

Before your visit.

A few answers to begin with. We will discuss the rest in person.

Do I need an ap­point­ment?

Yes. Visits are by ap­point­ment only. Our working hours are not walk-in opening hours. Please email or call so we can set aside time for you.

How much do al­ter­a­tions cost?

The price depends on the fabric, con­struc­tion and work involved. Following a personal fitting, we discuss the al­ter­a­tions and their cost. A single price list cannot account for every garment.

How long will the work take?

Timing depends on the work and our current schedule. We agree a realistic completion date after your fitting. Please mention any deadlines when you first contact us.

What should I bring to my fitting?

Please bring your clean garment, the shoes you intend to wear with it and any underwear that affects the fit.

Do you welcome new clients?

Yes, new clients are welcome. We accept work at a pace that allows for personal fittings and careful crafts­man­ship. Part of our capacity is reserved for long­stand­ing FRILISA clients.

Can an old wedding dress be worn again?

Through garment restyling, we explore changes to the cut, length and details. A former wedding dress can become even­ing­wear. What is possible depends on the original garment.
